We finally made it into Twin Lakes and the wait was worth the view…gorgeous setting. We picked up the mail drop from Sis and got a few more items from the General Store. By the way the re-supply here is not as bad as everyone says. Plus, Punky’s BBQ is right outside. We ate there twice and ended up staying under their tent for the afternoon resting and digesting food. we met a family from Tulsa who actually knew where Poteau was…Go Pirates!!!!
The owner of Punky’s offered to let us stay in a room connected to the General Store. We accepted and were happy to sleep inside for the evening. it was nice to have a place to charge everything and not to have to set up the tent.
